Yesterday fished 5-9pm only saw two small stripers caught someone and saw few catfish as well. Saw a huge catfish fight for few minutes and broke off before landing, I think it's over 25# range

last sat morning Got a chance to fish from the TX side (7am to 12pm). saw two fish total being caught. I manage to get a good fight for 20 minutes dragging me from wall to the first stairs. I am sure you know could fight that long right??. Well I was almost ready to give up, but anyway landed him safe and sound. He weighed approximately 45 pound , used 30 lb braided line with a 20 lb mono leader attached to a tactical angle connected to a home made buck tail. A good guy was kind enough to help to take couple of picture and video before he was released safely.

From TPWD.
It is a violation to:
Take, kill, or disturb any endangered or threatened species (paddlefish, shovel-nosed sturgeon, smalltooth sawfish and others).
CPR only...

Unless you go to OK side. I heard the meat is not bad, kinda similar to a catfish? But I've never had it. I'll consider keeping one next time I snag one under 10lbs on the OK side. Everytime I snag one they're like 30+ lbs

be sure to scrape the meat off the paddle. The best part of texas paddle fish is the paddle.

Looks like the water is slowing down has anyone been in the last day or so? Interested to know if the fish are moving on up close to the dam with the water current slowing down.
