I've got a new 12 foot Sevylor inflatable with a 30lb trolling motor for doing some jug running, crappie fishing, and carp/catfish chumming this spring. I haven't got it registered yet, haven't used it yet, but I know I have to get them. My question is, how do I put them on it?
If I use the stickers like on my big boat I am sure they'll crack when I deflate it and fold it back up. Can I put them on using a magic marker? Is that safe or will it damage the rubber? Is there something else I could use?

I've seen pictures online of two different ways to show the numbers. One is to stencil them on with spray paint. The problem with that becomes the decal for annual renewal.
The best way I've seen is to mount them to a piece of plexiglass or aluminum and hang that on the boat each time you go out.
I'll see if I can dig up a picture or two on some of the kick boat forums for you.

K.D. is right on the money. I have the same rig. Mounting the numbers on a plastic or plexiglass backing and hanging the numbers is the correct way. If you haven't gotten the boot for that boat, get one. The nose will dive in a wake from other boats.

Hi Kevin, I'm going to run into you one of these days when the weather gets warmer and the lake comes up a little. c.j. (Judi)

Judi,
I no longer have my slip at Grapevine. I had started fishing other lakes again and, with all of the north side ramps closed, it was getting to be a bit of a pain. If Grapevine doesn't get some water in it there won't be any ramps open by August.
I now have my boat over at Tawakoni with my travel trailer. That lake is in no better shape but at least it did come up about 4 feet. I may be out on Grapevine from time to time in my inflatable, though.

K.D. and RicHead,
Thanks for the info. That's one I had not thought about. I've got some plexiglass in the garage (broken florescent light glass from the kitchen) that will work perfect. I can tie it to the oar holders. Thanks for the idea.
