Well seeing how I got no response from the reel forum I'll try here, I purchased a Powell Inferno MH 7'6" rod yesterday, I have a Abu Garcia Revo SX and a 13 Fishing Concept A, which reel would you pair with this rod

Gear ratios = speeds. It would be determined to me by what techniques I wanted to use the setup for.

Something 7:1 for me. I use higher speed reels on anything that involves slow presentation to take up slack quick. It's a preference really. As far as reel type if you are C-rigging I would use a reel with higher line capacity (Lew's BB1, BB2) because of the longer casts. Brand doesn't matter, I have a BB2 on my C-rig setup which is why I listed it. I use 20lb flouro main so you want a reel that can hold it. You put 20 on a standard reel with a long cast you will lose the ratio.
