The last couple trips to TWOK have been great for catfish. We are in by lunch skinning fish. After We catch our limit we wanted to try some sandies or striper but had no luck.\ Any tips on what to use and where to go for these fish. I have always catfished so i have no experience locating white fish

Try Slab Spoons and Tail Spinners. Swimbaits are good too! Look for points and humps, and watch for working birds! Striper and White Bass catching is more like hunting. Keep moving if you don't catch fish in 20 mins! A good ToPo map will show you the humps and points. We have a few lures that might help

Look for working birds...good luck. Haven't seen working birds...or birds for that matter on Tawakoni for over a month.

I spend a bit more time on the lake than you do Mike. Two days so far this week. No birds. It's starting to look like CC as far as bird activity.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

In the 90s we would anchor south east of two mile bridge in the river channel. Fish with foot long gizzards . Sometimes ya loose one in the timber but we caught some high teens and a few in the mid twenties. Try that. Lake might not be the same but that's a good place to start
Keep em tight!

just look for the armada of guide boats that came in from Texoma. you will hear them before you see them. they generally travel in twos or threes
Fish a lot, catch a little

Lake might not be the same but that's a good place to start if they only knew what they were missing
