I'm sorry I questioned your post. Very silly of me.

You should really try and help hog flyer solve his issue rather than keep coming at me...you have zero to add and only arguments for what? To say some study is BS. People like you make me laugh...your all blow and no go

I offered my opinion on his ponds thermocline being flipped due to all the rain. Then I made the god awful decision of asking a question on the study you posted. You proceeded to start name calling me because I dared to question it. I should be thanking you for a good laugh, nobody has ever called me a big bad wolf before! I'm pretty sure that's what this forum is here for. To share ideas and theories, maybe even question some things. Again, I apologize for questioning your post, it'll never happen again to something that you post!

Fish dead were in near shore, about 30" of water, and in middle of the pond, there depth was 13', but line was about 5 or so ft deep,,,,,, I dont have a water temp meter to check with, but going back in couple weeks.
Thanks again for your comments, and advice....

Algae blooms/ die offs can suck oxygen out of the water too. Have you noticed any large amounts of algae or moss?

jmh004: there are some like water lillys, but not really lillys, they are long strands of grass, with several roots, and the bloom on top of the water blooms white and yellow flowers, a few patches along the side of the pond.... 3 years ago we had moss, or another grass in there, but when the pond almost dryed up, all that died.

We did that up near Brady tx when we hunted on the upper Colorado River there, yeilded good results at times..... best was right after a light rain and made the river have a slight flow to it! fresh water is hard to beat on a small flowing river.....
Im my case here, not river, butwe do have a small spring on the upper end of the pond.... water temps about 20deg colder when we swim..... getting a water thermometer this coming weekend, so i can kinda gauge whats going on..... For the month of April, March, water was very cold to me....... now its opposite there....
