FYI, there is no fishing on Saturday. Expo and seminars only. They are fishing Wed-Fri with the top 12 fishing on Sunday

Another reason OU doesn't like UT, the RED river looks more like BURNT ORANGE. LOL

I have never been to a big fishing tournament like this, but am planning to take my 10 year old son who is really into bass fishing up there this weekend. When would be the best time to go so he can see the pros, seminars, etc....? And where will they all be, at the Casino?

There are areas of the lake where the high water wont change it too much. I have fished it plenty with it this high. It will fish way smaller though. I wouldn't be surprised if someone doesn't get on some smallmouths.

Saturday will be your best chance at the Expo and Seminars. I'm sure some will stay at the Casino but most make arrangements at rental houses on or near the lakes.

Small mouth probably will not play unless there is some clearer water to fish. From past experience if you like shallow cover fishing this will be your tourney, the shallow cover will have the clearest water and the fish are in it because that is where all the bait is. Any vegetation in the water near the dam area will be the best water clarity to fish like the area on the north side of the dam, Most of the pro's that fish shallow cover will do okay in this one. A few years back when the lake came up 28 feet in June the fish were in the flooded vegetation and you could catch them, the Media tourney did very well that year. It should be interesting to see how they handle it.

You haven't changed Jack. Still negative. This will be a great event and a boon to the economy .
These guys will find fish! BTW, this was planned months ago and I am sure the organizers did not have a crystal ball to forecast high water.

I hope it' a great event, I am a little curious to see how it works out going to Indian Casino. Last time I was at one it was full of people 75 years old and up smoking.

I went and supported the TTBC on Roberts when it came to Frisco, that left a bad taste in many people mouth

Too bad the lake came up so much, but hey that's fishing

I went with some friends and had a great time. There is a reason nobody takes his opinions seriously on here. I hear through the grapevine that there is a good chance Toyota is bringing it back again next year to Frisco. Maybe we could help them promote and improve this tournament and prove DFW isn't the worst big city in the nation to have a national tournament.

Choctaw is hardly what you would an"Indian Casino" Jack. Maybe you need to get out more .
Like Chris said.......... Give them support or they will go elsewhere then you will bitch that big bass tourneys never come to DFW.

I went and saw Tesla at Choctaw last year, and went to Winstar for a concert couple weeks ago.

Last time I betted on the tables you had to put up like 25 cents per hand just to play.

I wasn't that impressed with the Casinos or the set up.

They will really need to step it up if they come back here. I drove by the Jimmy Buffet concerts couple times last week, While not a fan of his music they sure had it going on there.

If the do come back they need to get much better singers.

They vendor section was horrible, not much fishing related items, Using the corner of the field instead of the stage was fubar, and then nobody bringing fish to the scales sure didn't help.

I highly doubt they will come back to Frisco, they stunk it up here last time..........
