I agree with the Kistler recommendation.

I am a G. Loomis fan. If they have improved the reel seat on the NRX and you can swing $550 for a rod there is nothing in the same class. If the reel seat has not been improved, get the IMX.
Loomis makes so many different models, it will make you dizzy but day in & day out the 7' heavy IMX is my rod of choice.

I was hoping that someone would chime in that have used BPS Crankin Stick. I have 2 of them I use on smaller baits, would think they would work for 10 & 8 XS baits. $100 rods. The 2 I have been good rods. He is asking about a jig rod, not a cranking rod.

I have a falcon cara amistad st that I'd recommend. I have a orochii pitch perfect. And an 873 CRR nrx that are better. But for the money you can't beat the falcon. The orochii is crazy good rod. But the nrx is next level life changing ish..

Love my Kistler rods and the Mag 2 that was recommended is a great jig rod. Go to the website and look at the different models and pick one out in your price range. You cannot go wrong with any of them.

Either one of these would work, and won't break the bank:
Dobyns Savvy Series SS766FLIP (179.99) or Dobyns Fury Series FR765FLIP (109.00)
I have the Savvy, love it
