What are you guys' thoughts on fishing them weightless with mono vs. fluoro?

I have fished them wacky style on a drop shot setup and have caught fish doing so. I feel it works well. I just don't fish a drop shot very often. I saw Aaron Martens fish them this way on TV and had to try it.
I use fluoro over mono when fishing senkos but I'm sure mono would work just fine. I like my senkos to fall a little faster without having to add a nail weight, which sometimes I do add depending on the conditions.

Love to fish them in grass with a spinner blade attached in the rear.

What are you guys' thoughts on fishing them weightless with mono vs. fluoro? I throw them weightless weedless on 30lb braid and spinning gear. I fish a lot of areas with heavy grass so sometimes that line is a necessity. Plus you can feel even the slightest bites, tiny little pecks, it's awesome.

What are you guys' thoughts on fishing them weightless with mono vs. fluoro? Better hook set and detection of bites with fluoro Possibly slightly better action on mono Personally, I use 20lb braid to 7 ft 12lb fluoro leader for most weightless senko situations.

I love fishing them wacky on a drop shot rig. Especially on tough days. Let it set... Wiggle it without moving it towards you. It's great to leave in one place for finicky high pressured fish.

I like to fish them wacky too.. you can feel the bait a little better as it has a little more resistance in the water over a texas rig. Yammamoto says use a 3/0 hook for the best action on the bait.. I have to agree with him. I've caught a lot of fish using them.. I fished Joe Pool Wed and was using a chartruese pepper Big Bite Baits version nose hooked on drop shot. she weighed 6.01 on my digital scale. I do rig wacky on a drop shot as well though. I also caught a crappie on that rig too!

Try putting a 3/64 oz. lunker city nail in the tail and rig tx rig and fish on semi slack line for deeper fish. On a slack line the hook and nail will make it fall horizontally with the dying quiver

Also with the nail use it to flip into brush on tighter line and it will fall pretty straight in to trees or brush.

When Shhhh hits the fan and nothing else works, I always go to my weightless senko. They usually don't disappoint either.

Wacky rigged on a drop shot can be deadly and how I prefer to fish it. I'll fish it through the nose when I'm in certain types of cover especially heavy timber.
