I've heard of people catching catfish out of JB Thomas but has anybody caught any bass or crappie? Does anybody have any information about what they have stocked the lake with? I've heard they stocked it with crappie but can't find any info about it.

I had a guy come into the store today saying he's been catching spawning crappie out there shallow pretty well recently. Didn't tell me how or where of course

going to give this lake a try in a few days, lets see
call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Pretty sure they stocked this lake with largemouth last year. There should be a bunch of 10" fish in there if they survived.
I've been wanting to try and fish it for bass but everytime I plan a trip I end up going to Alan Henry because I know that I will usually catch something there.

We went last Saturday evening just to run the ski boat for awhile, but we did toss around some crappie jigs had a couple small bites but no hook ups. We only tried it for about 30 min though right before dark.

fished Saturday, caught channel cats one after the other 12 to 16 inches until the storm blew us off the lake, its only going to get better once the crappie recover

Anybody been catching? Im headed out this weekend for some trot line fishing and night crappie fishing. ill keep the thread posted. Btw, there are legal crappie still in the lake. Ive caught several by pump station.... however bout 2 weeks ago i spotted a few 9 - 10 inchers floating and struggling to stay alive. All of them were on the south side of lake. I contacted our areas biologist and told him about it. He said they were gonna check it out. There in there though. Happy fishin!
