I typically like a higher end rod for drop shotting just because in the end, performance is everything. The 822 C is a fantastic drop shot rod and will suit every single drop shot situation. These rods have super sensitive blanks and the whole rod itself is incredibly lightweight. This rod is definitely worth the money and I'm 100% positive that you'll be satisfied with it. I have a Curado 50E on mine and my wife has a Daiwa Steez on hers. She loves it. You can also choose what color wraps you want on it if you choose to get him to build you one. She has had carpal tunnel surgery and normal every day rods make her hands hurt after a few hours fishing, so Ron took the time and fitted her grips to fit her hands. He had her try several grips to get the right ones for her. She is all excited and he did it in the colors she wanted with her name on it. Thank you Ron for your help. Jeff Nelson
