I finally get to go to ray roberts to try to catch some sandies .. Does anyone have any tips for me. Like I said this will be my first time on this lake. Thanks

1oz slabs popped off bottom, Clear baby torpedo for top water. Watch for birds diving into water or floatin in a group. Get a map- Cates point, Isle du boies state park,mouth of Johnson branch, Wolf Island. Have fun...

Try submerged humps 25 to 35 ft deep in the West arm of the lake, NW of Isle Dubois park to East of Wolf island. Most of time you'll mark fish on your sonar that just look like a heavy dark line right on the bottom. Drop a slab down and get them stirred up.
