Smaller frogs I like the Megabass Pony Gabot. Full size I like the Optimum Furbit though I remove the fur legs and replace with traditional silicone strands. Both have well above average hookup ratio. The Furbit has 6/0 Owner hooks too. The Spro gets plent of use too. Got another favorite in the larger size but I keep that one quiet.... I prefer natural frog, black or shad/gill type patterns mostly.

Seems like every popping spro that I have bought here lately has taken on water right out of the box. To me, they have turned into junk. I'm talking the 1st cast out of the box I've squeezed enough water out to fill up the whole body of the frog. Has anyone else had this problem

I have never caught a bass on a frog. Well to be honest I have a few and have never thrown one. I'm probably in a very small group when it comes to frogs.

Has anyone else had this problem No problems here and we wear out 8-10 every spring and summer. Typically I notice in heavy cover and trees, the weight will begin to separate and will leak from there. I just glue it back. Usually they wear out around the line tie from getting fish out of heavy cover

Booyah Pad Crasher and Pad Crasher Jr.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

One of the four popping Spro's (Amazon color) I've purchased in the last year does fill up will water after a cast or two. I'll have to squirt some silicone or epoxy in that area.

While I have to admit that I have all the frogs mentioned above in my frog box - this spring I have been having the most success on the Spro Bronzeye 65 and the Strike King Sexy Frog - both walk well with a little work done on the legs and have proven durable over time and some fish action.
