Was gonna head out this morning but looked at radar with more Thunderstorms rolling around. NOAA shows 50 % of rain rest of day then a 90% tomorrow ! The lake got pounded last night with some good heavy rains at the lake and the river above. Should definitely gain some more water with this rain dumping in banana
As far as structure fished - When the lake was down, as with most lakes, the regrowth was in place with weeds grass brush etc. This is now under water and created the food chain explosion. The stocking that Debra mentioned about a year ago could'nt have been timed any better. Fish the brush in about 5 to 10 ft of water. Looks like weather will be settling down by weekend ! Good luck- be safe. Rio smile

My stringer is getting there!!

I am going out tomorrow if the weather does what they say. Are you guys fishing closer to the river end or the dam end? I know where i went pre-drought but it is like fishing a new lake now.

Fishing was tough yesterday. Only managed to catch about 7 bass, 13" being the largest. All bass were caught in about 4-6ft of water in submerged brush.

I mainly fished the shorelines and the two coves closest to the dam. I think I should have probably covered a lot more water. Maybe next time.

Went last weekend and set a bunch of lines for catfish......got skunked. I know the bass were jumping, but the catfish were tight-lipped!

Medina has risen 6 feet in the last 24 hours, and 5 inches in the last hour. More rain is scheduled for the upcoming week, too. It's within 4 feet of being "full" right now.

Website shows it only being 1.5' from full? Either way, with the flooding they are having it should make it finally. bannana2

grout-scout what web site is that from? I'm using this one:

http://waterdatafortexas.org/reservoirs/individual/medina

It shows conservation pool level to be 1064.2 and current level as 1061.36 leaving a difference of -2.8 feet.
