 TRWD to double the rate at Twin Points

Every Fri-Sun starting on May 27th TRWD is doubling its current rate to $20. Mon-Thurs is a 'Half Price' $10 launch fee. I don't know if this has already been shared on the forum, but I thought I would spread the word.
Saw this on the TRWD facebook page in the comment section of their grand opening post, TRWD verifies it in the replies.

They've had a lot of unforeseen expenses due to the last two floods. Can't blame them for trying to generate more revenue when usage is highest.

Hope they triple the rate for day use cost more to maintain the mess from them than from boaters just using the concrete. 20 for launching is just to high in my opinion

Grand opening for what..... They've been working on it for over 5 years and all it has is a boat ramp. That's a joke!

With the lake full just use the free ramp in the azle shady grove park it's a nice ramp. Once you leave buoys hug the south bank by the docks close untill you get passed the water intake station

It was nice while it lasted... IMO $20 is much too high. I guess if the marinas can gouge their customers the TRWD can as well. They could have distinguished Twin Points by setting the price at $15 and still made a killing.

I think they just killed the cash cow.
The marinas don't have any room to park, so I can understand limiting the launching there, but
Twin Points has a lot of room and now, they'll have a lot more!
Oh well, Bridgeport will clear up soon.

I at least know I won't be using it on weekends anymore. I launched at Shady Grove Park before they closed it and it sounds like I'll be going back there again now that the water (and rates) are up. Oh well.

Really guy's? 20.00 for a nice,clean boat ramp? Sounds high but not really unless u go daily... heck I pay 30 every trip to squaw creek, just saying...
