Ok I need to sell my truck since Im hitting 300k on it. In the meantime I need to pull the Skeeter FX21 with a 2 wheel drive 2008 Dodge Durango until I find a truck. It seems to pull it fine but its rather bouncy over RR tracks and dips and bumps.

Throw me out some suggestions or do you think air shocks will take care of that.

The purpose of air shocks is primarily to relevel a vehicle that has the rear suspension under a heavier load. Think of them like an "offset" to put the sitting position of the shocks back in the middle of their up/down travel range. They really don't fix "bouncy".

For "bouncy" the best change is to consider heavier duty springs, and/or the most heavy duty shocks you can find for that vehicle. Aftermarket companies may have such products for your Durango. With 8 years of wear on the OEM shocks, they may not be dampening that bounce so well any more. True "Heavy Duty" for new shocks is a more important attribute than "air leveling" if you have excess up/down bouncing. Air leveling is more important for a suspension that is bottoming out.

Getting a new truck? If it's just temporary, slow down a bit. Just my two cents. Take it for what it's worth, throw in a dollar and get a cup of cofee.

Edted to add: What's bouncy? The truck or the trailer? If it's the trailer, it was always bouncy, you just didn't notice it.

Would be throwing money away to try and do anything with it. Slow down before rxr and your fine. If its just a little bouncy then live with it, its temporary.

Consider new shocks. Factory shocks are better today than they were back in 2000 but they still go out.

I like the blue/yellow shocks myself for my Dodge. Bilsteins have a lifetime warranty and I have had them on my truck for over 10 years.
