The flow below PK is back to nearly 300CFS as of this morning. They had dropped it down to less than 150 for a few days and then boosted it back up on Thursday. This is the USGS water site that I use: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/tx/nwis/uv/?site_no=08088610&PARAmeter_cd=00065,00060

The flow was up yesterday around 280. It isn't a bad paddle up to the dam from Hwy.16. We had a south wind as we were making our way downstream which was nice and gave us a little more time to fish without moving too fast.

It was good to speak with you and your dog. Love the dog's name Wish my dog was as calm as yours. I managed to catch some keeper slabs where you met me at. Ticket of chose was live minnows casted 5-7 ft from banks. Got those fishes for the wife! Throughout the rest of day, I again caught another 4 gars. Don't know how to catch and release these fishes but 3 outta of the 4 broke my 30lb braided line. The 1st gar I caught freaked me out so I had to cut the braid lol. A lotta fun hooking and fighting these gars. I bet even more fun if I followed your Fly Fishing methods. I gotta get into Fly Fishing! Hope to run into you again. Stay safe Spacemonkey & Patience

Bass fishing was pretty good yesterday... no giants but caught about 20 lmb total on frogs, walking baits, senkos and brush hogs. Hooked a giant striper at dusk just above the bridge on a pencil popper and it pulled the knot open on that 17 dollar lure. Amateur knot tying on my part :-( I will definitely get another because everything was absolutely crushing that thing... That river sure beats most lake fishing this year!

Wow, you guys are talking 300 cfs and I am going on the Guadalupe tomorrow morning because it finally fell to 1800 cfs. Two years ago when we had the bad drought it got down to 700 and I thought that was great.
My personal best is still swimming out there just getting bigger. One of these days I will quit feeding it.
