Congrats! Nice looking truck.
ps - Jeep prices are ridiculous for what you get. Amen to that. Serious Jeep fad going on right now. The ones selling for $40K should realistically be around $25K for what you get. I predict some VERY serious deflation in prices on those once the market corrects and the fad is over.

So I'm guessing you got the crewmax? That is the perfect back seat but you only get a 5'1/2 bed , that's tiny, I can't even put a fishing rod back there. I wish they made a big crew cab long bed . Nice truck though!

Nice truck though! Haha. Very true. I think the back seat is for fishing rods. I can sit in the back seat and stretch out and not touch the front seats. Or so it seems. I am having an ARE cap painted for it this next week and also adding ARE rod tubes. So....back is just gonna be for gear.

Wow, didn't realize the new ones have that short of a bed, my old double cab has a 6 1/2 foot bed and it is barely long enough to handle my gooseneck and 5th wheel trailers.

My next truck but no longer have need for Crewmax. Mine will be a double cab. Back seat on current truck has only been sat in once in 3 years. It stays folded down.

I've been drooling over the Crewmax to replace my double cab Tacoma. I can't get my three kiddos in the backseat of the Tacoma, but I think I could do it with the width of a Tundra and the legroom would mean my four year old couldn't kick the back of the drivers seat. I might be able to convince my wife if I could get a Texas edition imported to NC. She's a proud native Texan and is working hard instill that in our oldest, who is the only one of our three born in TX...haha
I may try to wait until late 2017 to see what Toyota does in model year 2018.

If you don't have some special source of vehicles and want to compare numbers, maybe asking people may not give you objective numbers.
If you want objective mpg on vehicles normally I would say go to fuelly and average the vehicles to see what you can expect from them. They normally have a good number of vehicles to average out and they tell what kind of driving was done to get that mileage. They do rely on the member to tell what type of driving they do so that may be a little out of wack but its probably pretty close. The Ecodiesel is so new that they don't have any trucks there. The Toyota seems to average around 15. From what I've heard and read the Ecodiesel gets between 22 and 24 so the Ram gets 50 percent better mpg than the Toyota. Diesel is around 10 percent higher than gas. Up or down over the long haul it will probably average around 15 percent higher.
For prices I've found that TrueCar can give you actual prices on what people in your area are giving for a certain vehicle.
Thats my way of looking when comparing two vehicles. Doing it this way it looks like a Ram Ecodiesel base club cab compared to the same in a Toyota 5.7 would be a couple hundred dollars less for the Ecodiesel compared to the Toyota. 36.3 vs 36.5k.
Take that for what its worth but its probably a decent way of looking at it. The Toyota is tried and true and very reliable. Its also built in San Antonio. The Ecodiesel was originally designed to be put in a Cadillac and was shelved when diesel prices took off about 6 years ago. It sat till Dodge picked it to go in their half ton. Its a pretty slick engine and transmission.

If you really look at what you get the Texas Editions are over priced. Dealers really push them because they increase margins and revenue.

She likes anything that is "Texas". I was mostly joking when I said it. My mother in law replaced her TRD Sport Taco with a Texas edition. I couldn't believe what she paid for basically an SR5 with add on wheels, tires, and floor mats. The worst part is that the dealer made her think it was a TRD Sport with add-ons. She got taken. Oh, and btw, I recognize your handle from tacomaworld.com. I don't know you and it's weird seeing you two places.

One thing I like about it is you can bash Tacomas and not get all the carp that you would get on the F150 forum. On the F150 forum you say anything bad and they want to run you off. Gulf States loves the add ons. That is where they make their money.

Ram forums are the same way. On the Ecodiesel forum if you in any way say something is better than the ecodiesel you are the antichrist and will be shunned.
