I like to fish alot of soft plastics mostly zoom stuff. I use braid usually 10 or 20 pound test. I never use a flurocarbon leader. Who uses one and do yall believe it helps get more bites. Can u throw flurocarbon on spinning tackle. Does any body tie it to there braid. What knot amd how long of a leader. I like to throw weightless flukes and trick worms. I am still learning however. Im just curious if the fish can see the braid or if they even care ?
I spend most of my time fishing the rest I just waste

I personally don't think they care. I throw 70 lb Samurai braid with a 25 lb Seguar leader on my jig rod, overkill for what you are using it for, but I haven't felt like it was getting less bites

I use 30# spider wire braid with about 3ft of 20# fluorocarbon leader. I tie the leader to the braid with a surgeon's knot. The only time I ever break a leader is when it get wedged/hung up and then it always breaks somewhere other than the knot. Does the fluorocarbon help me get more bites??? I have no way of knowing. For thousands of years fishermen used some sort of vegetable cord for line with a Trokar flint hook and they caught fish. I suspect fluorocarbon leaders are like the other 100,000 fishing lures/gizmos marketed to us to improve our results. It gives us something to ponder in between bites.

Most of my spinning set ups consist of 10 to 20 lb braided line with a fluoro leader. I feel the fluoro leader helps with certain techniques and water conditions.
I will use anywhere from 10 to even 30 lb fluoro leader. Keep in mind that the heavier the fluoro leader the more tendency the knot has to catch in the tip top guide.
I connect the braid and leader with a double uni knot and will use between 2 and 5 feet of leader, depending on the weight of the fluoro and the technique/bait.
I have had my heart broken more then once with lower weight leader, so I usually use 20 lb. And I like to use a dedicated leader line (when I can), like what you will find with off-shore fishing or fly fishing, instead of taking sections of line from a large spool.
