This. I use different size swivels for weight. Unless I want to get 6 foot or more then I use a pinch on above the swivel.

Was fishing Sam Rayburn one year and the only way you could get them to bite a fluke was with a split shot about 18 inches up the line. No explanation as to why, but it was the only way to get bit. I've used the small swivel and it works well. It helps keep twist out of the line and doesn't kill the action.

Try them on a light shaky head sometime...

Double fluke rig. Rig one of the flukes with a super line ewg, the other fluke with a regular ewg.

i throw a 1oz hunk of tungsten 24" to 36" in front of it with a leader and a swivel. some call it a carolina rig but it gets it down there where they live in a hurry. you still get good action on the fluke because it has no weight directly on it.

I use a "clam" weight just above the hook on the line or vary the distance between the hook and the clam weight to give the fluke different action. The clam weights come in various sizes, that along with the size of the hook determines sinking rate & action.

Bullet shaped pinch weights 1/32, 1/16 and 1/8; gives me no snags when coming through the grass. You can vary the distance on your line from the bait to get the presentation the Bass are looking for.

USE the KVD flukes. They weigh a lot already.

I am 100% convinced of one rule about flukes and all the above remarks prove that. "There is no wrong way to fish a fluke". Seen and used about every above suggestion and they all work. I even have a top water technique I love and the strike is a blast. Take in all the above, especially the swivel short C-rig suggestion, and use your imagination and apply it to the conditions you are fishing. With a fluke there is no way to be wrong.

Spoke with A-Mart about this very subject @ the fun n sun show early this year and he stated he doesn't use split shot or crimp-on type weights. He stated that fluoro Carbon line gets damaged when using these types of weights. He prefers to slide a small weight on the line and peg it or nail weight in the bait. Makes sense so I don't use the crimp/split shot method.

It may not work for those of you in heavy cover but I put a #4 treble hook on the main hook and belly hook it like a swimbait. Put the main hook thru the nose then slip the treble over the hook point. Then put on a hook keeper like you would use for a trailer hook then run the main hook thru the fluke

I buy a big spool of brass or copper wire and cut it into little pieces.

A Gama EWG 4/0 hook in the "Super Line" series adds the right amount of weight to a Super Fluke to sink it slowly.
