 Creek or main lake points?

Just wondering if this time of year is it better to fish in the creeks or main lake points? Just looking for opinions!I dont care if i catch blues or channels, just want to catch something,lol

I'm thinking skinny water. We took the boat out today. But my boat can't get into that skinny water. Tomorrow I will find out!

Points have always been sporadic for me, but I know I can go to a creek and at the very least not suck with my catch, and usually do well. Just need to know how to properly catfish a creek which most don't.

Hit the Twok a bit late but managed to grab 4 eaters. It got a bit choppy! Drifting the creeks north of 2 mile.

Creeks, points whatever I would start shallow . Use your electronics to locate fish and get to fishing

We usually start on the points early in the morning. Most cats feed those shallow points in the night. These points usually hold the mussels beds and those cats fill up on them. Also First light, the shad seem to be pushed up on the point by feeding fish. Plus the lake we fish, further in the day, you start to deal with skier's and jet ski's. As the day goes on and boat traffic pick up, we move to the creeks. In the creeks I look for 3' to 10' of water with some type of structure or curves in the creek. The main thing during the day, look for structure for the cats to find shade in. Once you catch a few cats off that structure and if the bites slows, move to your next structure. After doing this for a while, you will finally find a pattern the cats like.
