I am a big fan of Gibbons Creek and was wondering if anyone had been to the lake since all the rain? Looking at the website it looks like the park is open still Fri-Sun? The water at Gibbons will turn rusty colored after a big rain and I have never had luck when the color change happens so hoping all that has cleared out.

Are the channels in close to the shore 3-4 deep yet?

Any suggestions on best part of lake to fish tis time of year? I had luck last year around May or June down by intake in the pads. The shad were laying eggs and cats were packed in there for a short period of time.

Thanks for any updates you can provide. Going to try and hit the lake this weekend.

Last weekend lake was high. Water covered up the pier.

We found blues in 2-5ft of water on shad.
