I fished behind the Dam on both the OK and TX side last week and this Monday as well. Same results...Skunked. (Please keep in mind, I have fished this place for many years). It is normally fast and furious and lots of action when the flood gates are open. I did notice tons and tons of shad. The place is nuts with seagulls right now. I believe way too many shad.

Went there last night and threw poppers and Jigs. Saw a guy haul 4 nice sized catfish. So many seagulls and if you get lucky you might knock one down with a jig lol! Did not see any catching Striped bass. I worked my way down the wall until I hit the bottom. I was just toying around, casting to where the OK water meets Texas, bouncing my jig around when BAM! A frigging Paddle fish the Goliath grouper of the red river. I thought I was winning the battle for a while keeping the pressure and bringing this cinder block closer to me, until this sucker decide to go for a run! Took half my spool and I am in no mood to chase him off the rocks. Gave me a good fight though. With half a spool of 35lbs. braided line left, I decided to cast another jig and bounced it off the bottom, then BAM! another frigging paddle fish! Just my paddle kind of luck, I decided not to fight this one and turn the drag off...he can have my jig not my line. I decided to call it a day, went home with a bruised pride and back lol.
