Problem: Those sorta-clear plastic tackle boxes (like pic below) with slide-in dividers, hooks & spinner blades keep getting stuck underneath the divider. VERY aggravating & frustrating to me. I've tried a couple different glues that didn't work, wouldn't stick to the plastic. One was for general use that smelled like what I used as a kid for my plastic cars, planes and boats. Other was some kind of silicone stuff.

Any glue available I can use to stick those dividers down and close off the bottoms in between the compartments?

Clear silicone sealant, or bag the hooks.

I took some 'sillywinks'foam sheets, $0.89 each at Hobby Lobby all colors, 12"x18" and cut to fit the inside of the lid.
Use some double sided clear scotch tape to hold in place. When closed it pushes down on the dividers, and quietens the box also.
Omly problem is you cant see through the top, so I write or number the sides...

Use a low wattage soldering iron to melt and weld the plastic in enough places to keep the dividers in place, or simply create dimples with it like you would do to keep a nut from backing off a thread. There is no glue that is going to stick to that slick plastic. Small pieces of duct tape along the bottom edge of the dividers os also a possibility.

There are also low price plastic welders on the market. There might even be a business opportunity there somewhere. I'm sure other guys are fighting the same issue.

Another option might be model airplane cement such as Testors that actually melts the plastic. It may fuse this stuff together and if it would, that would likely be the cleanest way to do it. Try it out on a couple of scrap dividers first.

I second the idea of trying a glue that binds plastic by melting. Try a couple of drops of plastic model glue on two spare dividers - overlap them flat to see how it reacts with the softer Plano plastic vs. the hard model plastic. If it works, remember that best results come from avoiding the use of TOO MUCH glue.

If it works, don't try to glue the bottom edge of the divider to the box. That arrangement would be messy and probably very weak. Instead, with the divider pushed firmly into place, put a drop of glue along the side of each joint of the groove that the divider slides into. The goal is to bind to the groove so the divider can't back out. Then, the bottom gap will never open up.

If you lightly sand the plastic, which also removes the mold release agent, you can use any decent glue.

I agree that the dividers are almost worthless when it comes to keeping smaller items in place.

That mold release agent makes the plastic "as slick as owl $hit" as my granddad used to say. I never did ask where he verified that statement, or why he would ever have the need for such comparative information.

I think using a solder iron along the edges to keep them from popping up would be the best. Watch out for the fumes though!

I'd just use it for other lures and buy the one made for hooks. Dividers are molded in so you don't have to worry about it.
