I'm looking for a good setup to use for carp and cats. I don't need anything high tech just something that won't beeak. I don't want to spend more than 80 but if need be I can wait and go to 100. One thing I'm looking at is the Abu Garcia catfish commando spinning combo. Thanks!

Reagan are you fishing from bank? If so and depending on your location you may want to spend a bit more for a baitrunner reel and a longer rod to cast farther. It really depends on exactly where you are at. Most carp anglers are bank fisherman and use baitrunners to let the carp run without pulling the reel and rod in the water and use 12' rods in many areas to cast to the areas the carp habitate, but your area may not require long cast if carp or catfish are nearby the bank. The okuma abf-50 reel is a lower priced baitrunner with a moderate price of nowdays looks like about 55$ If you are serious about carp angling a 12' carp rod really is very versatile and good investment and does not have to be that expensive. Good luck!
