Whats different then putting it in the livewell for two seconds or laying it on the floor of your boat while gettting your scales ready? This is why I hardly post in the bass fishing section anymore. Dont be an internet game warden. Im friends with many of these guys and they are more then reasonable...

Nice fish guys, looked like a blast to me, unfortunately there isn't enough of that for more folks.... Rules are rules, he said they didn't know, but do now, so--nuff said.. being happy for others, is a blessing for you, and them..

I use to work with LA fish and game on the coast, they are more about educating the anglers and hunters more than they are writing tickets. I am sure Texas Game Wardens are the same.

My cousin is a GW down South. She as well as most of the people she works with are AVID hunters and fisherman and are real and reasonable people. They don't make a huge living but they love their jobs everyday! They do write tickets but they let people off with warnings/education WAY MORE OFTEN than tickets. Wanton waste, over the limit, and trespassing will get you a ticket every time and especially wonton waste which flies all over most outdoorsman. While holding an illegal fish briefly to get the camera ready is against the letter of the law, if you showed my cousin the video of what you did she would likely say "man that was freaking awesome but don't hold slot fish in your live well. What did you catch them on?" That would be the end of it especially if you showed her a bait she doesn't have. (She is a tackle and gear junky!)
