Now that I've decided I'm sticking with shimano, what rod should I attach it too? I've only ever used bps rods. I am interested to hear y'all's opinions!

This is much harder than reels. Lol. So many great choices and some are better at certain techniques than others.
Weightless I like a Steez MH fast 7'1" Weighted t rig I like a Megabass perfect pitch Jigs I like a Megabass perfect pitch Cranks I like a Tatula MH moderate 7'1" Flipping I like a Zillion 7'6" H F. Drop shot I like a Steez AGS ML 7' Top water I like a Cashion medium xf. 7' Whacky I like a Shimano Zodias 6'10" medium Wild card is a Cara ST Amistad.

I have stuck with shimano reels but have all sorts of rods. If it feels good in the store I buy it. really have not been let down by any brand from BPS to castaway, none of them are more than $100 and I always buy on sale. I would say my fav are my 2 falcon low riders. they are 13-14 years old and perform as well as the new tech rods.

I've got a boat full of Falcon cara's and st. Croix's. Been replacing old rods with St. Croix's.

I really like my Falcon Rods. I only have 2 of them, but will try to get more in the future.

If I was on a budget I would stick with the Duckett. If I had more to spend it would be the St.Croix Legends. Those are the 2 I stick with. To me they feel good.

I will never any other rods than G. Loomis. I mostly use the NRX and IMX rods. I really do like the GLX rods as well. In my opinion, G. Loomis rods are the superior rods on the market. I'm so glad I've switched to G. Loomis rods!

Kistler all the way. Trey offers something in all price points and all techniques. His ZBone line is among the best in the industry.

Barbie is a close 2nd, and I'm not on Pro Staff for either one.

I sold all my shimano rods and reels this year and switched to Lews super duty reels and Irod Genesis II rods!! Have no complaints the rods are awesome and Lews reels are one of the smoothest feeling reels I've used!!
