You might've just been fishing on an off day or time, or maybe even the wrong place? And I will tell you we are way way the heck upstream of Miller and 66. There are definitely still thousands of fish in the creek right now. There are definitely still thousands of fish in Rowlett Creek. The 3 inch Mr. twister white Grubbs have been the bomb this year. Chartreuse also has been getting 25% of them. When it slows down we just switch colors and they usually start to bite again. Some days you got a power fish pockets. Catch four five in each pocket then move. And, I suggest after you walk upstream and you have 15 fish or so, I would turn around and fish your way back so you don't have to carry 40 pounds of Sandy's on the stringer all the way back.

With all the rain coming I don't know if we'll be able to fish anymore this season. Hopefully the weather man is wrong. Tomorrow is probably the last day this week you might be able to hit the creek with Clearwater.

KFJ on the other hand is one of the most honest and willing to help individuals I've ever had the pleasure to fish with! Anyone who has fished for the creek with 5 years of experience can charge $100 a person to beginners and have them walk a long ways. We can bring our cheapest hand-tied lures and minnows to catch the sandies. Not a bad living...I should do this on the side. Catch at least one fish or it's free. Hell, I'll even do this...catch at least 5 fish or it's free. I'm spending my free afternoon do what I enjoy. Why not have a partner to fish with and he can put $100-$200 in my pocket. If we get skunked...oh well then I don't get paid. Still better than sitting at home or work. Even 10 fish guarantee seems reasonable with my skills.
