 Is Joe Pool Crappie House open

I am considering going to Joe Pool tomorrow. It seems like I read they were closing the crappie house. Is this true? Also, will be fishing from bank and would like to know where to go to catch some crappie. I have never fished Joe Pool for crappie. ANy help would be really appreciated.

I believe the one located in the State Park is closed due to the floods last year when it washed away.
A man should be able to saddle his own horse and kill his own snakes.

There are two floating barges on JoPo. One at Lynn Creek Marina which is open. The one at the state park might still be closed.

The one at Lynn creek is open from 6am to 10pm every day. The one at the state park is closed and right now there are no plans to reopen it. They were trying to sell it not too long ago.

How cool would it be to make that your own private barge? I'd deck it out like those ice fishing sleepers they have up north.
