Anyone have any info. in the past couple weeks? Headed to PK for first time to fish it ever. Been there a few times in the past playing but never fished it. Staying on the South end down from the state park a bit. Any info. of colors or depths would be appreciated.

I would find another lake. Going to be muddy with a lot of trash floating down the lake.

The have the gates open letting go of 11,000 CFS they're pulling all the debris and muddy water down to the damn. It's s river lake so doesn't take long for it to get muddy

Here right now and the lake is muddy as hell and the fishing sucks. Leaving now.

That's really unfortunate since the west Texas media tournament is there Sunday. Might be some light stringers

That's about right. Get a deal on a friend's cabin and the fishing goes to down the tubes. If it looks bad may run over to Hubbard or something one day. Thanks for the heads up!

IMO it should be cancelled.

Media cancel a tourney,,that will be the day.

If it going to be high enough that all ramps are closed? Boating advisories issued? Wind Advisory or severe weather expected?

I can recall Media cancelling tournaments due to both wind and ice over the years, but I cant say I can recall a tournament being canceled because the lake is rising, muddy, and fishing will be tough. Everyone has to deal with the same conditions, I personally like the events where the bite is tough... really levels the playing field.

Tough bite I don't care about. It's the trees and other [censored] that I'm referring to. I'm not willing to mess my boat up for a couple fish.

Fished a Media tourney in 40+ mph gusts on HC a few years ago. We all sure wanted it postponed but Tommy said fish away. My TM batteries made it to about 11:30 am and I never left a cove. That was a bad day to be fishing. That was also the last time I prepaid for a tourney. I should have just stayed home.

The mud line has made it to South d&d but the fishing has been decent the last two days ahead of the mud I'm not saying it's as good as it was before the rains but the fish are definitely biting I caught a pretty good stringer yesterday on topwaters, traps and senkos on points. Fishing was a little tougher today but still managed a couple good fish.

So, has the muddy water reached the dam area yet.

Cool picture Klapper! Hopefully PK will clear up soon for up coming tournaments. Never been on the lake, but have heard it is a good topwater lake.

From what I heard today it was extremely tough. I won't complain about the muddy water it will get better eventually.
