It's about time I invest in a pair. Anyone have any suggestions?

Depends on budget-Walmart-Bass Pro- or the best.

Cabela's guide gear is the best bang for the buck if you are looking for moderate temps. Arctic Armor is by far the best if you are looking for a suit for sub freezing temps. I can wear my AA suit with jeans and t-shirt underneath when it is 30 degrees out. Search Arctic Armor on this forum and you will see that all of the winter time big blue catfish guides agree with me. We fish at below freezing temps and Arctic Armor is what we wear.

I know I'll get snickers for this but for me, my budget and what weather I'll fish in...Academy H2O bibs and parka. There are much better sets of rain gear out there but I'm not going to fish in 20 degree weather so I can't justify $500 plus. The $150 H2O's have worked great for me.

100 MPH suit, Simms, Cabelas or StormR. Basically look for goretex products I personally had bad luck with frogtogg and went with Bass Pro shop and StormR.

I personally own Cabelas Guide Wear Gortex and it does a great job, but it's hard to beat the 100MPH suits. I like the fact that the 100MPH has built in rain tight cuffs around the wrist to keep you dry. Little things like that make a big difference.

Keep your eyes out for sales for the winter Gore-Tex type rain gear. I bought a set of Cabellas Guidwear bibs/coat from a internet sale for approximately 60% off. Went to store to try on sizes, ordered "online" from their computer for "store pick-up" and took em home with me right then. That winter gear can be deeply discounted if you can find a sale. Also check Bass Pro. Their Gore-tex rainsuits are excellent also. Check their discontinued/reduced sales areas also("Bargin Cave").

Frogg Toggs Pilot Guide Bibs

For the money, you CANNOT beat these bibs. I've been super pleased with these, and they didn't break the bank. I've had other brands tear or rip on me in a short amount of time, but these have held up nicely in the 2 years I've owned them so far. It's 100% waterproof, very breathable (can still wear them in the Winter too), and best of all, the zippers don't malfunction. For only $150, you can't wrong with these bibs!

BPS 100 Mph

Simms makes the best suit buts comes with the price, I've had both the 100mph and guide ware and they work but I like the stormr suit I use right now better than both. Just depends on price u want to spent but Simms is by far the best

I fished for 5 hours in the pouring rain on sunday and put the Huk gear to the test. I was dry everywhere buy my arms and that was from holding my rod tip up and the rain running down my hands into the sleeves. I say they worked pretty good. My partner was wearing the H20 brand and was pretty much soaked 3 hours into it.

I've got the new SIMMS Pro Dry and the BPS 100mph. Simms are definitely lighter, nicer and more comfortable to fish in, but they forgot one very important thing that the 100mph suit has. Simms didnt add a zipper section in the crotch area so that you can take a [censored] without having to pull the bibs down.

I HAVE fished in 20 degree weather, and I just layer up under my H20 gear. I've never gotten wet in this gear.
