Ok guys I'm trying to get some opinions on the sand bass run on the Nolan River, we fished Thursday and nothing but really small males, no females? 3 weeks ago we caught 70 and all were nice big males and a couple fat females, is the run down there over?

This flood will either push in a brand new wave of fish or it will push the remaining out. My bet is a new wave of fish. Your day Thursday was that way because that wave has been in the river for a while due to lack of rain. But with the flood now we should get another wave. Time will tell.

What camino said is right on. With the new water coming down it should cause more to run, and the earlier run was just the beginning.

Lol Plano give me heads up next time see if David and I can't get over there. I did manage one Sandbass and two gar in historic floodwaters below Granberry this afternoon lol. Green bass have been so good I've lost alittle interest last few days. But I figure I'll get dialed back in with this high water will be concentrating on big cousin a little more though lol.
