two weeks ago it was still stained at the upper end(both smith and blundell) and fishing was tough. the grass was not very green possible confirming a past post about the grass being sprayed. the lower end looked clearer but i did not spend any time fishing it, i loaded and relaunched into bob sandlin.

once you pass the first bridge idle, stump field about 100 yards north of bridge. If you want to go to railroad bridge go right after the first bridge and get on the power lines and still just idle until you get to know the lake.

Stinks right now. No heat. Water temps 66 to 72. Fish are scattered and suspended.

Was there over the weekend and it was very windy and water was muddy. Pretty slow.

Monticello was hawg heaven 30 years ago. Power plant not generating, cold water, lake out of prime. Fished there many times. My opinion. In the 80s you night fished in the stickups. A lot of big fish caught back then.
