It's going to be a sloppy mess for awhile.

I don't fish this area at all, but what he said about the hole changging all the time is a true statement. It's that way everywhere you catch spawning whites. With the rise and fall of the current, the fish will holde in different pockets, you have to scout around and find where they are stacked. That's just the way it works on these spawning fish. Good luck on the search, it's not that difficult.

My buddy Kingfisher and I got out there this morning and each had a limit plus he got a nice hybrid on shad after our limits. There were a lot of females and they still have a lot of eggs. Be safe and tight lines everyone.

The lure bite is on at the creek. We caught probably 60-70 this morning on spinners and small rattle traps upstream of Miller, the problem is a lot of small males have invaded the creek, 8-9" fish are everywhere. The bite is early in the morning, like 6:30-9 and then it shuts off until evening again unless you find pocket with heavy shade. Cody hooked a 4 hybrids on shad and got all of them close to the bank but they got off, oh well. Get them while you can, the creek season is quickly coming to a close, I estimate 2 weeks maximum, and the next rain could very well flush all the fish out. FYI be very careful when driving through the area at firewheel to park, it's still very muddy, client today go stuck and I had to pull him out, drive on the main path and stay out of the muddy spots and you should be Ok.
