My family along with 2 other families are heading to broken bow area this upcoming weekend. We plan on fishing with the kids. What are the best options in the area for taking the kids fishing? Also, I don't have any experience with trout fishing....

I fished Saturday in very light rain for an hour or two. I caught one trout on a lure. Cabelas sells them. Jake's Trout Spin-A-Lure. Some people had a few fish and other caught none. I wish I could be more help.

I have been going there for years, behind the damn and all down that area is great easy! Now with kids they could get hung up some, but with such soft River Rock you should be fine, buy yellow powerbait it's like plado, looks like cheese, and some green garlic, usually biting the cheese stuff but sometimes garlic, easy way to limit! Good luck they will love it! Just remember be patient Bc you will see big ones but they may not bite! Any more questions feel free to ask

Oh and btw on trout I have found it much easier to set the hook by just realing it rather than setting hook like a bass, it tends to pull out too easy
