Couldn't stop and take pic of Firewheel Pkwy and RC, too much traffic as well and field that people park in after jumping curb is muddy, but not much still water puddles there yet. On my way to Springfield Park... Took a detour and got to the other side by Airplane Park and Springfield Park... And the city Parks and Rec at Springfield watching the flood...

And the part everyone is waiting for...everyone's favorite fishing spot...introducing...Miller Road!!! (Applause) If we get more rain, the new parking lot is going to be underwater. It's already creeping across 1/2 the new driveway to it. LOL, what dam?

Well, I think it's safe to say that the drought officially over in DFW metroplex, lol.
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Right, so I don't feel like bringing my kayak, so Rowlett Creek may be off-limits for me.
Anyone got any other good bank spots?

Anyone got any other good bank spots? You aren't driving from Odessa, are you?

Anyone got any other good bank spots? You aren't driving from Odessa, are you? Yes, but for other reasons than to go fishing. I'll be there visiting my in-laws, and have some time to kill on Saturday morning and afternoon, so I figured I'd take my tenkara setup and find a creek to yank a few sunfish out of.

For fly fishing, I would try the section between the Garland shooting range and 190. Maybe north of there too.

I highly doubt the creek will be fishable by Saturday. Try city ponds for sunfish.

Taking a kayak out on RC would be dangerous in my opinion. I wouldn't do it with the fast moving flood waters.
