 What happen to all the mullet?

For the last couple of years finding mullet with a casting net has been really challenging. What gives?

Corpus christi Bay area they've been hard to find for the last couple of years. At least the finger size. I've caught 10 inches plus with the casting net.

I netted some in Packery channel this past Friday. They were around 6 to 7 inches. The warmer the weather and water gets, the more finger mullet should appear....I hope.

Hell, I was there Thursday! I must be doing something wrong. But I was able to bring this one in on live shrimp.
