Hey guys! Just wanted to share my excitement and invite each of you to come out and enjoy a great kayak fishing event this weekend in San Marcos. Yes, we'll have tons of prizes and cash given away, but most importantly we'll enjoy the food, games and fellowship that makes the kayak angling community so unique! We'll also be raffling off a kayak where all proceeds go towards the paddle4tomorrow non-profit. Kayak demos will be going on as well so if you're in between models trying to make the right choice then come join us at TG Canoe & Kayak in San Marcos on Saturday. Non-mandatory pre-event meeting & meet n greet will be at TG on Friday between 5 and 7. More information can be found at this link: http://bit.ly/1MQPnLnPS, I can't wait to get on the water Thurs and maybe Friday to catch some big river bass and my first Guad! I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Sounds cool Drew.. The lower Colorado is an amazing fishery if you haven't fished it... it's kind of a guarantee for a quality guad.
That said, most of us here on this board are North Texas DFW/Waco based. Two of the most productive fisheries up here are the Brazos below Whitney and Possum Kingdom , and then the Clear, West and East forks of the Trinity in DFW. These are fisheries that have produced 100 inch 5 fish stringers on occasion. If you did a regional stop up here with a healthy payout I think you'd be surprised at how many enthusiastic river bassers would show ;-)

I couldn't agree more Tom! We have some really great river fishing here in North Texas. I hate that I'm going to miss this one, I'll more than likely be in Oklahoma this weekend for the Beavers Bend tournament. I really want to make some of these River Bassin events they look like a blast!

Thank guys! Gutcheck, I have fished the Brazos and it definitely produced some quality fish while I was there! Awesome fishery you guys are blessed with!
Tom, I'm sure I'll see you at one eventually! I'm about to hit the river to search for that Guad but I'll catch all those who can make it to the pre-tournament gathering at TG Canoes & Kayaks tonight from 6pm to 8pm!
