Got 20some this morning. 4-5 dinks and the rest were all 1 1/2 to
4 1/2 lbs. Strange, about half were from 3-4 feet of water and half in 28-30 feet where I have baited all winter. All on Stubby's.

Really not so strange. Those cats get up in that shallow water because it warms up faster and is warmer than the deeper water. You might be able to improve your catch rate by chuming an area in the shallows say 2-6ft of water. Scent trail will spread out faster in shallow warmer water as well.

Lake Fork is strange like that. We've caught em shallow and deep in the same day many times. I don't know if there's just so much food throughout the entire water column or what. I have had most much deeper though.
