Seems like another fad diet with an unnecessary food restrictions like no dairy, legumes, and grains.
No thanks.

I haven't heard of it, but I agree with Dave. I have tried too many restricted fad diets and I just try to eat healthy now.

Look into Macro counting. Poppylocks is what my wife uses(you should see that girl eat...amazing). There are men's versions too.

I don't think its a fad. It teaches you what preservatives and sugars to stay away from. I've done a lot of research on it and it has helped diabetics, people with joint issues, migraines, etc almost become healed. 4 people I work with are doing it and said they lost about 8-10 pounds first week and feel just better in general. After 30 days you can start to eat certain things in small quantities.

After 30 days you can start to eat certain things in small quantities. -30 day plan(not long term) -"bad foods" off limits (sugar, grains, dairy and legumes) -change your life in a short period of time -no counting calories or portions All these things basically define a "fad diet". Majority of weight lost in the first couple weeks of changing your diet is usually just water weight. End of the day, you still end up eating less, but you are more restrictive on your food choices than you need to be.

I disagree about water weight. Lady at work is doing it and has lost over 100 pounds. She was obese and has done this without even excersising other than walking at night.

I'm with Dave on this
If a diet has a name, stay away
If a nutrition plan is called a diet, stay away
Lifestyle, not a temporary diet, is going to make you healthy and a more attractive human being
You don't have to stop eating sugar, grains, dairy, and beef to be healthy and appealing to the eye. You DO have to pay attention to caloric intake and macronutrients

I said the first couple weeks for water weight losses since you mentioned your coworkers. After that, it's either fat, muscle or a combo of both. She's eating less than she is burning is which the most important thing(calories in vs calories out). Now, how she is eating less may not be the best if she is limiting her food choices too much.

if you want to stay away from preservatives and sugars, only eat what you cook ^^^^This^^^^ I live by this. If I don't make it from scratch, I don't eat it. You stick to that and you will find yourself eating a whole lot better that what you are accustomed to. Another huge factor is sugar. You dont need it.

Not a fad, a change in the foods you eat. I tried it with my wife and made it 25 days. It is harder than you think when you first start but the results were amazing. We did it for health concerns (instead of prescription drugs) with her onset of Rheumatoid arthritis and hot flashes. I will admit being able to eat like they want you to eat is a lifestyle change. No sugar, processed foods, wheat or legumes. Our biggest hurdle was preparing food that followed their guidelines. We were limited to what we liked and what we would eat, so it got old eating the same stuff all the time. All this aside, my wife had a significant drop in pain associated with her arthritis and hot flashes.
