I used a Cotton Cordell silver jigging slab. You can get them at Wal-Mart, 2 for about $3.00. Jigged some but caught more by casting out and reeling back slow, keeping it close to the bottom. Used the #4 Mepps some also. Until the locking nut on reel seat broke on that rod.  Both methods worked equally well. Good Luck

Yea we had our 50 on Friday in just over an hour. And a bonus crappie. The slab never made it to the bottom unless you drifted off of the fish. They didn't have a color preference Friday.
