A while back, maybe a couple of months ago, there was a video about using only silver or black sinkers for tx rigs but i cannot locate it any more....Would any of you have a link to it? I cant remember if I saw it on wired2fish, flw, bass or some other you tube site. I have tried to do a search but not finding it. It seems that the pro said to use the black for spawn, and silver for all other times, or was it viceversa??? Thx.

One other helpful hint that Monroe provided about the unpainted versions. It slips through their mouth easier, he explained. Tungsten is hard, but the paint is soft. And with a painted weight, the basss teeth grab into the weight and youll never get a good hookset. The unpainted one slips through their mouths easier.

I don't know if it's discussed in the video, but unpainted ones are also louder (tungsten hard/paint soft) when they bounce or drag on rocks/wood/etc; potentially attracting more attention.

Just think, if they made one with little flattened surfaces all around it would probably reflect even better for just several dollars more per weight...they might even cause a little frequency change in the clicking noises which might be significant in certain situations.
