I have 2 buddies flying down and staying on Lake Conroe. I won't be around to take them out every day so what are some good affordable guides for Lake Conroe bass fishing? I trust fellow TFF members more than random internet comments.

Thanks!

It's the bass who are unreliable. Richard with Fish Dude Guide Service is a good choice.

I will go ahead and say it. Bass fishing on Conroe can be brutally tough and the lake can not support a bass fishing guide. There are no really good bass guides on Conroe. Most of the fishing guides are focusing on catfish and bream. Richard focuses on Hybrids and catfish but does post occasionally about bass in early spring. On the other hand - there are some really good bass tournament anglers on the lake.

I agree with Neal! I've been told that many of those who do well on Conroe put forth the effort to put out brushpiles. However, with today's electronics that almost everyone has, how long that effort stays private is a gamble. Private spots eventually become known to others. That happens even faster now, plus a guide couldn't afford to take that route, then show those spots to customers day in, day out.
