We spend 6 days on Lake Fork.
We stayed at the Lake Fork Lodge
www.lakeforklodge.com This is a really nice place to stay and we recommend it.
We got out to the lake Tuesday 3-29-2016 and we were on the water by 10 am. The main lake temp was 62 degrees.
We went to Glade area on Lake Fork.
We caught several great fish. My brother had his personal best 22" and 6 lbs.
I caught a Bass that went 25 inches and 8.18 lbs. Picture provided.
The bass had blood running from the tail. I would assume it was on a bed or just finished spawning.
Then I caught another fish that went 24.25 inches 8.54 lbs. picture provided
We were using Black Salty's for bait. The bait came from the Lake Fork Country Store on 515.
www.blacksalty.comWe fished from 10 feet to 1 foot of water.
We also caught a few catfish every day.
The water temp was over 65 degrees in the small pockets all around the lake.
Wednesday 3-29-2016 it rained with thunder and lightning. We were off the water by 10:30 am. We fished closed to the Lake Fork Lodge. I think it was called Steward Creek. We caught a few bass.
Thursday was the return of nice weather. Main lake water temp was still at 62 degrees.
We went to the exact same spots in the Glade area of Lake Fork and and it was slow. We caught a total of 10 fish.
Friday we had rain in no lighting. We fished in the rain at least 6 hours. We had high winds at times and 3 foot waves. We fished closer to the Lodge and then later went back to Glade. Still limited success. The water at Glade looked very muddy.
Saturday we fished Glade again with limited success and then went to the area around the golf course in Little Caney. Few fish. Very slow. We found fry balls in Glade in the shallows.
Sunday we fish a half a day in Little Mustang and Williams. Few fish. Small fry about 2 inches long that looked like bass.
We did not see any fish on the beds. With rain it was very difficult as the water was very muddy. Main lake temp was 62 degrees and the max was 68 degrees. We caught a few fish on artificial lures. Our measuring device was a Igloo cooler with a 24 inch ruler and we had a digital scale. We could never figure out the fish. The rain and storms really seemed to effect the fish.

Yes this was our boat.
If you are going to be negative about the greatest fishing trip of my life i will delete the post. To the best of our abilities and the measure device we had, I caught 2 fish that were over 24 inches.
