Hey guys,
Haven't been fishing for a while and was thinking about going out this weekend to do some crappie fishing. I live by Grapevine but I think it's still super high so was wondering if anyone has any other recommendations - I usually fish from the bank, don't have a boat. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Weatherford Marina, Lake Lewisville Barge, Joe Pool Marina at Cedar Hill State Park, Benbrook Marina or the crappie house in Graham (long drive but not fished much).

Thank you Sir - will I be able to get into Joe Pool Marina at Cedar Hill State Park without being a member? I know most marinas don't allow people from the outside to just walk in.

Yes you just have to pay admission to the park and they have a fishing barge at the marina. There is a fee for that also. I haven't been there in a while so I can't vouch for it right now.

Last I heard a month ago, it was closed because damage from last years rain. Well, not really closed, but broke and floated off! That's what I was told in March, not confirmed, but also heard they're not in a hurry to repair it either. Edit: Just called and confirmed. They are going to demolish what is left of the marina, so it'll be a few years probably. Lynn Creek Marina is open on the other side of JP though.

I've seen people have luck at Bardwell too. There's a couple crappie houses and docks to fish off of. I think there is a small fee there too.

Might be able to park at marshall creek bridge off 377 in roanoke and find some crappie up around brush in the creek. If the lake is around 9ft high or lower then the park on marshall creek in roanoke should be open. Last year they had it open til about 9ft high water levels, caught alot of fish in the park before it was shut down.

Marshall Creek Park, now known as Trophy Club Park, is open, lots of flooded timber.
