I have been using a 7 foot MH cabelas IMX rod for like 4 years... I've actually tried some much higher end rods for it but I don't like them... that rod is somewhere between fast and moderate IMO so it's accurate enough but loads up well to make long casts... it's pretty dang sensitive too.. also when it breaks they replace it no questions asked that's another reason I love it. ;-).. broken 3 since I paid for the first one;-)

I also use the Falcon Cara Finesse Jig rod. Very versatile rod.

Since no price range was given, I use the Dobyns 733 for weightless presentations.

Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

^^^I like the Dobyn's Champion 704 with a Curadoi, you can really dial in that reel for casting weightless baits, especially into the wind.

Megabass Orochi F5-75XX - EMTF (Extreme Mission Type-F) is the best senko rod I've used. Plus, it also does a number other techniques better than any rod I've used. By far the most versatile rod that I've had the pleasure of using.

I see im one of the only ones that likes a 7' M action rod for this technique. The medium action gives me longer casts but I can still set the hook fine and plenty of backbone to get the fish in. Currently using a 7'M Shimano Clarus with a Daiwa T3 Ballistic reel 7.1:1 handles these baits beautifully. Wacky rigged, texas rigged weightless, flukes weightless anything finesse really. M y favorite Ive ever used was a 7'M Falcon BuCoo micro. Managed to land a 6ft alligator gar from the bank with that rod fishing a weightless senko.

7' med fast carbonlite with a 7:1 citica for weightless senkos and shakey heads. Affordable decent setup.
