Seriously...take your tackle out & go to a truck stop weigh scale an weigh your boat. compare against the original weight of you boat. You may be taken on water in your sub hull everytime you're on the water. just a thought.

hey Blake, check to see if the knockout plugs on the prop are all gone.Another thing is to make sure the hotfoot is adjusted to go all the way to the floor. If none of this is the problem, take it to lance up at fun n sun and ask him to put it in the tank and run it to see if the motor is ok.

At 4800rpm it is not WOT.Speedo show 60mph @4800rpm sounds about right, which means it will gps around 55 to 56 mph.Check to see why it is not opening all the way up.See how many rpms it will turn in neutral. If all else fails take it to the dealer let them plug in.
Start early, stay late and keep your plug in the water.

that may be the way the previous owner had it set up, kind of like a govenor. check the cable on the hot foot. also i did have a buddy that had a 2000 zx250 that had a small hole or crack in the sponson and it sucked up about 350 lbs worth of water, skeeter actually fixed the problem. defect i guess.

HPDI is electronical,it could be trottle postion sensor. If it taking on water it would still turn up to 5600 to 5800 rpms.If the motor was seating to low it would still turn 5600 or better. In both cases it would be at WOT(5600 rpms)and be slow.It in not getting to 5600rmps is the promblem.
Start early, stay late and keep your plug in the water.

Might check to see if there is any water in the gas, that has built up in the engine. This happened to me on Texoma during the Media Championship. Took it in the on board computer told them the problem and they were able to get the water out of the engine. Yamaha makes additives to put in the gas that will help remove the water.

Did you buy new or "AS-IS" used? If used, were you allowed to inspect it before you bought it, take it to the lake, possibly have an independent 3rd party evaluation, were you offered a warranty? How long after purchasing the boat did it need the repairs you mentioned? What was wrong?
As the owner of a used car dealership I run into these problems. First of all, I request and welcome my customers to take the vehicle to a mechanic of their choice for a pre-purchase inspection (most decline this option). An extended warranty is offered with every purchase (again most decline). Any item the customer wants repaired prior to purchase must be in writing on a "We Owe" statement (most mention nothing).
If nothing is mentioned on the "We Owe" and a warranty is not purchased the car is "AS-IS" with the exception of a 30 day 1,000 mile power train warranty that I include on everything we sell. Everything else is "AS-IS".
P.S. If the things were left unplugged after having it repaired, that's very irritating and wrong.

Lkg go and take your cowling off and look at the throttle linkage real closely, mine was doing that and i found the cable lock had come loose and when i would hit a wave are so forth it would let the cable come loose and back off the throttle, when i found it it was obvious what was going on.

Blake,
My post was meant for Ronnie, not you. Sorry.
When I was at the Hurst store a few weeks ago Fain and Jack were taking a couple to Lake Arlington, they do it all time. I agree that you should be able to trust them. Have you spoke with FNS about the problem you are having? Sounds like your not getting full throttle. I'd adjust bolt under your hot foot and see if that takes care of the problem. I used to have a 519 that was bad about getting out of adjustment.
