 Lowarnce Structure Scan and DI freezing up

Worked fine the last time I was out. Launched on Friday and it was freezing up rendering it useless, for no good reason. Updated to 5.5 on Friday night hoping that would fix it but it didn't. HDS 12 Gen 2. Anyone experience this before?

I have a problem of mine freezing if in less than a foot of water for an extended period. I have not found remedy yet but resetting factory defaults unfreezes the down scan. Mine freezes and shows 5ft depth and will not refind the bottom. So I just turn downscan off in ultra shallow water.

I had all kinds of trouble with mine. I finally got a Lowrance tech to fix it at a tournament. It has something to do with the upgrades. Try to find a dealer in your area that is serviced by a Lowrance tech and get his number. Mine were 9 and 12 touch Gen 2 also.

Put units in shallow mode and lower ping speed from max to 18 or 19. See if this helps.

Why should I have to change any settings? One day it worked fine the next it didn't.

I have had some issues with 5.5. I was going to go back out this weekend to try it again but I got a dang crick in my neck and don't want the pain that will come along with driving the boat.
I don't have any lagging on SI; but I have severe issues with interference that I never had before.
I did have some lagging on 5.0 though.
I may end up going back a few updates if I still have problems, nothing on these new updates benefits me.
