I believe TPWD is ripping us off. They provide us with some of the best recreational opportunities than most states dream about. I think allot of us have gotten spoiled because we have it so good. I would gladly pay more to have to continue to support the fishing & hunting to ensure my children can partake in its enjoyment.

Yea you spend about the same as your licenses for a year as you do for fuel for one trip.
Fishing is always good, its the catching that varies.

I'm with ya Roger. If I didn't like what they cost I wouldn't buy them. Skip

You get what you pay for and I think we are still getting more than what we are paying for.

It's actually really cheap if you think about it, as much as i hit the water and as many fish as i catch each year I think its a small price to pay. In the future it will be higher than it is now, it's just part of life things increase over time. At least we have an opportunity to catch fish and enjoy the outdoors while at the same time preserving it for the future anglers

I agree with you HotRods. I lived in Colorado before I moved here. I asked how many rods are you allowed (only 2 rods with 3 hooks each!) The lady selling me my license said she didn't know how many rods you were allowed, but you have a 100 hook limit. I darn near passed out! I thought I was in heaven.

Hey Charlie, I'm listening even if I can see ya. The patches are gone like my habit. Still working over the cravings, but it's going well.
I sure miss the stump dodging on Lake Fork...But I'm coming back soon to catchOVER the slot! 👍🏾

Right there with ya fellas, I even spent the extra money to get the fish Texas license plate on my truck, I cant think of a better cause to donate my money to, Texas is one of the premier outdoor rec. locations in the world and I have no problem paying a little extra to help maintain that as long as I can see that the funds are going tword improvement and not tword escort services!!!
Lake Worth Workingmans Tournaments Every Wednesday from April 2nd to end of August $50 entry + $10 Side Pot - 100% Payout 6pm - 9pm

I agree that TP&W is doing a great job. I have Bass plates on my truck and am going to get them for my trailer. If that extra money goes to TP&W it is money well spent, just like our fishing license fees.

We have it good in Texas, and most of the southern states.. Abundant fishing and hunting. No seasons for fishing, like some Northern states have...
I purchased the bass plates years ago, and I donate to Duck Unlimited and subscibe to BASS and don't forget to help out the SPCA...
