It's 7:00 I've just had a good hour nap,now I'm thinking about taking the lantern down to the creek. Sneak up on the crappie. With a bunch of minners. Whatdaya think?

Loads of fish heading out as I arrived, don't know where the deep spots are, need to do some daylight scouting

DELETE PLEASE I just finished my night fishing, got 3 large crappie. Now I'm headed to the creek hoping to get some sandbass.
Theres a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. Steven Wright

I did better this afternoon, brought home 4 nice 12-14 inch sandies and released a dozen short crappie, sandies, and yellow bass. Nothing on artificial, everything caught on minnows. All in all a very nice day.

Psst, Wiskey Flats is getting better every day for big male Sandbass, minnows or 1/8 ounch jigheads with chartreuse and white splittails. Time for a fish fry. Also: The creek is absolutely loaded with shad.

2-3 days after a rain..sometimes more depending on the creek/stream the water is flowing into..IF.. there is a flow at all.
