Had a boat get just as close to me once...let them know that they had the entire lake to pick from, he comes back with "I didn't see your mailbox on this spot"
I enjoyed seeing the older guy getting tangled and breaking lines...

That guy would've found me in his boat helping him get a closer look at the fish GoldSpoonr. I would have served him his mailed stamped with a 'do not return to sender' if he made a comment to me like that. True thing that you can't fix stupid, but you can always teach 'willful ignorance' a lesson in manners. My 'Good foot' mighta turned out bad that day. You're more patient than me.

Gotta admit Thunk, I was really PO'd at first since I had just landed a good sized one...then I saw the hangups and laughed my [censored] off and made sure they knew I was laughing at them! It's a small world and we have to get along. Just yesterday I was at a spot that was producing crappie. No other crappie were biting near and the structure was large. Another guy eased up and started a conversation and asked if he could share. I obliged and he and I caught more crappie over and over again. More than I could keep by myself.
Best thing to do is think about Jesus when this happens. What would he do?

If I'm not mistaken, some lakes have rules governing how close you can fish to another boat. Check it out.

Jacob, the guy in the back looks like a Nac coach that retired not too long ago.

Too close, and like most folks my initial reaction would be to get pissed. But here's the reality... 95% of the time folks like this are not very good fishermen, and are probably struggling to catch many. I always do my best to take a deep breath and calm myself before starting a conversation with guys like that. I'll even give them some tips, mainly so they can learn how to go find their own fish. I usually get on the TM and head over on top of the bouy while striking up a conversation. Every time I've done this, the guys have eased off to another spot. I think the calm friendly conversation kicks in a guilty conscience for them. Maybe one day I'll run into a complete a$$ that won't leave, but thus far it's worked for me.

Too close for certain, I see way more of it now than there was 15 years ago. People don't have the respect for others that they used to.
